TimelyHours

Payroll & reports

Close the pay period without retyping hours

Approved hours, overtime, sick time, and bonuses in one payroll report, exported in the layout your payroll provider imports.

$20/month per store · Unlimited employees · Cancel anytime

Your pay period

Weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, or a custom cycle, with your overtime threshold and rate.

Hourly or salaried

Set each person's hourly rate or salary for the period, so wages and totals come out right.

Processor-ready exports

A formatted Excel workbook, or a CSV laid out for ADP, Gusto, Paychex Flex, or QuickBooks Payroll.

Approved changes only

Time corrections reach payroll only after a manager approves them.

Exports shaped for your processor

Pick a template and the file comes out in the columns your payroll provider's import expects. Save details like ADP's Co Code and each employee's File # once, and every export after that includes them.

  • ADP RUN and Workforce Now, Gusto, Paychex Flex, QuickBooks Payroll
  • Regular, overtime, sick hours, and bonus in the right columns
  • A formatted Excel workbook when you want the full picture

Fix hours before they are paid

Hours & Adjustments shows every shift's clock-in, clock-out, and breaks for the period. Correction requests from associates wait for your approval, and unpaid break time comes off the hours on its own.

  • Review shifts by employee and date range
  • Approve or deny correction requests
  • Paid rest stays on the clock; unpaid meals come off

Reports that explain the number

When labor runs high, the reports show where it came from: scheduled versus actual hours, overtime and who drove it, on-time arrival, and labor by hour or by role. Every report exports to Excel.

  • Scheduled vs. actual hours and clock-ins
  • Overtime, wages by role, and top earners
  • Hourly labor cost across the day

What closing payroll should take

If closing payroll means copying hours from one screen into another, every period carries a cost in time and a risk of typos. The fix isn't typing faster. It's not retyping at all.

In TimelyHours the period closes in three moves: clear the exceptions and correction requests, check overtime against your threshold, and export. The export is the file your payroll provider imports, so the hours you approved are the hours that get paid.

Bonuses ride along in the same report. Incentive rules calculate for the same pay period and appear as their own column, so nothing gets added by hand at the end.

Frequently asked questions

Does TimelyHours run payroll?
No. It prepares payroll: approved hours, overtime, sick hours, and bonuses, exported for the payroll provider you already use. It does not pay employees or file taxes.
Which payroll providers can import the export?
There are import layouts for ADP RUN and Workforce Now, Gusto, Paychex Flex, and QuickBooks Payroll. For any other provider, the standard Excel workbook has the same numbers.
How is overtime calculated?
Hours past the weekly threshold you set, 40 by default, count as overtime at the rate you set, 1.5 times by default.
Can managers see wages?
Only if you allow it. Viewing compensation is its own manager permission, with separate switches for manager pay and for base rates and salaries.
Are sick hours included?
Yes. Sick hours used in the period get their own column in the report and in every processor export.
