Managing two or more UPS Store centers
Quick tips
- Adding a second verified center skips the emailed code step.
- Watch overtime per person, since hours combine across your centers.
- Use the All Stores planner for anyone who floats between locations.
- Re-check pay-period anchors after copying bonus rules to a new center.
Adding a second center
Each center is its own subscription at $20 per month with unlimited employees, and each keeps a separate team, schedule, and data set. You switch between them inside the app without logging out.
Verification is lighter the second time. Once you have a verified center on your account, adding another one only requires looking up the store number and confirming the record, because you have already proven store email access.
What breaks when you stop looking at one store
Two specific things stop working at two centers. Overtime stacks across locations even though each schedule looks fine on its own, and the same associate can be booked at both centers at the same time without either planner objecting on its own.
The All Stores planner and cross-store warnings exist for those cases. If even one person on your roster covers both centers, this is not an optional view; it is the only place the conflict is visible.
Reports have the same shape of problem. Review hours per person, not per center, for anyone who floats.
Running a morning triage instead of a tour
Start in the portfolio overview rather than opening each center in turn. You get clocked-in counts, open exceptions, and billing issues across all managed centers in one pass, then go into a specific location because something there asked for you.
Assign each center an accent color and keep it consistent. It sounds cosmetic, but it removes a small hesitation from every scan, and you do that scan every day.
Settings that do not copy cleanly
Some configuration is genuinely shared and some only looks like it. Bonus rules can be copied between centers, but each center can have different pay-period anchors, so verify the anchor at the destination after copying or the first period will pay nothing.
Break and paid sick leave settings should never be copied blindly across state lines. Accrual rates, caps, waiting periods, and meal break requirements are set per store precisely because a center in one state can be governed by completely different rules than a center two states away.
Common questions
- How much does TimelyHours cost for three UPS Store centers?
- Sixty dollars per month, since each center is a separate $20 per month subscription with unlimited employees. Annual billing is $220 per center. There are no per-user fees regardless of how many associates each center runs.
- Do you have to verify each center separately?
- You look up each center by store number, but once your account has a verified center you skip the emailed confirmation code on subsequent ones. The store record still pre-fills the new center address and map location.
- Can an associate work at more than one of your centers?
- Yes. Use the All Stores planner so cross-center scheduling overlaps get flagged, and review overtime per person rather than per center, because hours combine across locations under the same employer.
